The present invention provides a method for knitting cable patterns with excellent generality. If a section in which first stitch rows (1) and second stitch rows (2) are arranged is a cross section in FB, the following steps from a step α to a step δ are performed. In the step α, other stitch rows (b1, b2, 1) except for the second stitch row (2) are knitted by gradually moving the first stitch row (1) to a base unit in the other side. In the step β, a void is formed within a knitting range of the first stitch row (1). In the step γ, other stitch rows (b1, b2, 2) except for the first stitch row (1) are knitted by separating stitches of the second stitch rows (2) to the void within the cross section of the FB. In the step δ, other stitch rows (b1, b2, 2) except for the first stitch row (1) are knitted while solving a problem that the stitches of the first stitch row (1) and the second stitch row (2) are mixed. |
