MOLD COOLING METHOD AND MOLD COOLING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variation in the temperature of a mold during casting.SOLUTION: A mold cooling system 10 circulates cooling water for cooling a mold 12 by using negative pressure. A mold side flow passage 26 for circulating the cooling water is provided inside the mold 12. A first valve 38 is provided in an upstream side flow passage 30, and a second valve 46 is provided in a downstream side flow passage 32 on the upstream side from a negative pressure generation part 48. A control part 40 of the mold cooling system 10 performs a mold temperature adjustment process of reducing the pressure on the downstream side from the first valve 38 and cooling the mold 12 by closing the first valve 38 and opening the second valve 46.
