PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress busy shift after jump downshift in an automatic transmission.SOLUTION: If a vehicle state after the vehicle state changes from a lower speed side to a higher speed side than an (N-1)-speed down line (hereinafter, "after (N-1)-speed down determination") is present in an area A (area on a higher output side than a hysteresis line with an (N-1)-speed up line and on a lower output side than an (N-1)-speed down maximum line) when an N-speed position is formed as a gear position of an automatic transmission, a control unit permits execution of jump downshift from the N-speed position to an (N-2)-speed position. If the vehicle state after the (N-1)-speed down determination is present in an area B (area on a lower output side than the hysteresis line with the (N-1)-speed up line and on a lower output side than the (N-1)-speed down maximum line), the control unit permits the current N-speed position to be maintained until passage of predetermined time. |
