PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently handle an error during transfer in a configuration in which image data read by a reading device is transferred.SOLUTION: A reading system 1 includes a reading device 10 and a control device 50. The reading device 10 includes: a reading control circuit 17 that reads a reading target; a memory 15 that stores the obtained read image data in units of pages; and a control unit 11 that transmits the stored read image data in units of blocks. The control device 50 includes: a communication unit 56 that receives the read image data; and a communication control unit 51 that requests, if a reception error of the read image data has occurred, the retransmission of data including a block that was being received at the occurrence of the error. The control unit 11 of the reading device 10 executes, if the control device 50 requests the retransmission of the read image data, retransmission from the beginning of a page including the requested block out of the read image data that is stored in the memory 15. |
