PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture and easily provide a thermoelectric material with a high Seebeck coefficient.SOLUTION: In a method of manufacturing a thermoelectric material, application of nanoparticles 20 of an insulator modified by a dispersant 22, and accumulation of a thin film 16 of the thermoelectric material are alternately repeated so that the thermoelectric material having the nanoparticles dispersed in a plane direction and a thickness direction can be manufactured on a base 10. The insulator is an oxide, a nitride or a sulfide, and the protein is ferritin.
