PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress overheating of the upper part of a heat shield plate to which combustion gas of a burner is easy to contact, in a combustion device including: a combustion housing 1 having a burner 5 therein; and heat shield plates 14, 15 covering the inner surfaces of outer wall plates 11, 12 of the combustion housing and forming air passages 14a, 15a flowing cooling air between the heat shield plates and the outer wall plates.SOLUTION: At the vertical intermediate part of heat shield plates 14, 15, step parts 143, 153 bent to the side of outer wall plates 11, 12 are provided. In the step parts 143, 153, a vent hole ejecting cooling air from air passages 14a, 15a is formed. Also, a portion above the step parts 143, 153 of the heat shield plates 14, 15 is inclined upwardly in a direction of separating from the outer wall plates 11, 12. |
