The invention relates to a solar module (1). The solar module (1) comprises a front element (2) and a substrate element (3), and at least one first active layer (4) is arranged between the front element (2) and the substrate element (3). The solar module (1) comprises at least one first contact element (6a) for contacting a first region of the first active layer (4), and the front element (2) is arranged on the substrate element (3) such that the front element (2) projects beyond the substrate element (3) on at least one first face of the solar module (1). The first contact element (6a) extends from the first region of the active layer (4) into a first projection region (UB1). A contact securing element for securing a connection between the first contact element (6a) and a connection element is arranged in the first projection region (UB1).
