PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system capable of detecting residual capacity of a storage cell accurately in a short period of time, and to provide an electric vehicle including the power storage system.SOLUTION: A power storage system 10 comprises: a storage cell 1; a detection computing device 7; a bidirectional converter 4 connected to the storage cell 1; and a controller 8 for controlling operations of the bidirectional converter 4. The detection computing device 7 detects a voltage value between positive and negative electrodes of the storage cell 1 or a current value between the storage cell 1 and the bidirectional converter 4 when the controller 8 operates the bidirectional converter 4 so as to charge/discharge the storage cell 1 for a substantially same period of time at a substantially same current value. The detection computing device 7 detects residual capacity of the storage cell 1 on the basis of the detected value. |
