[Also in Division B5] In apparatus for making adhesive-bonded unwoven netting in which one or more flattened helices of threads constituting a weft are enclosed between and laminated to two webs of parallel warp threads, the weft threads 1, 2 are drawn from bobbins 18 mounted coaxially on a shaft 21 and are led through tubular bent radial arms on the shaft from which they are wound helically on a stationary frame comprising a hub 9 in which the shaft rotates, radial arms 8, 81, and axial bars 11, 111 bent inwards at their ends. Single threads 28, 281 are drawn from spools 13, 131 on the frame and are led to the extremities of the bars 11, 111, and constitute edge threads enclosed by the weft convolutions. Two webs of parallel warp threads (not shown) are led from above and below respectively between a pair of rollers 14, 15 mounted one above the other, the lower roller dipping into adhesive. The rollers draw the formed weft between, and adhesively bond it to, the warp webs. The weft thread 1 is fed through eyes 171, 22 in a frame 16 mounted on the shaft 21 and carrying the bobbins 18, and the thread 2 is similarly drawn through eyes 171, 24, 25, 23, each thread being thereafter passed through a channel 26, 27 in the shaft 21. The shaft is mounted in bearings 4, 21 and driven through a pulley 3.
