Provided is an engine starter electric motor device that is capable of restarting an engine reliably and quickly, by using a conventional starter electric motor-use magnetic switch structure which utilizes a means for pushing out a pinion (7) with a pair of movable cores (15) and a stationary core (16), and a means for opening/closing a contact to an electric motor, to energize the starter electric motor immediately after the pinion (7) has securely engaged a ring gear (8) of the engine during inertial rotation of the engine after idle-stopping of the engine. This engine starter electric motor device is equipped with a control means that controls the supply of electricity to a first electromagnetic coil (17) and a second electromagnetic coil (18), and is characterized in that when the engine is restarted during inertial rotation of the engine after an idle stop of the engine, the engine is restarted by supplying electricity only to the first electromagnetic coil (17). |
