In one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a first gate line and a second gate line extending in a first direction, respectively. A first source line and a second source line extend in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction. A pixel electrode includes a first main pixel electrode in the shape of a belt located on an edge of the first source line and extending in the second direction, and a second main pixel electrode in the shape of a belt located on an edge of the second source line and extending in the second direction.
