<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane type silencer and an air intake duct for a vehicle, capable of reducing noise transmitting in the duct by a principle different from an expanding chamber type or a resonance type up to now. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane type silencer 20 has a structure in which a pair of wave transceiving membranes 21A, 21B are formed by stretching membrane members 15 in a pair of duct through holes 13, 13 formed in the air intake duct 10 and the center parts of the pair of wave transceiving membranes 21A, 21B are coupled by a seesaw member 22. By the structure, when the one wave transceiving membrane 21A vibrates in a predetermined period by receiving a sound wave of the noise, the other wave transceiving membrane 21B vibrates displaced by a half period following the same, a cancel wave of a reverse phase relative to the sound wave of the noise received by the one wave transceiving membrane 21A is transmitted from the other wave transceiving membrane 21A, thereby the noise can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
