[Also in Division B7] In a lifting gear comprising a plurality of hydraulic ram cylinders, each cylinder (Fig. 2, not shown) is connected with a hydraulic pump 9 having a three-way valve 10 associated therewith via which hydraulic fluid may be delivered thereto and exhausted therefrom by the pump and by which the cylinder may be sealed from the pump, which valve is actuated by a solenoid 23, 24, and ram synchronizing apparatus is provided comprising selsyns 32, 32<SP>1</SP>, 32<SP>11</SP> (Fig. 3, not shown) coupled at 31, 311, 31<SP>11</SP> to a master cylinder 1 and to slave cylinders 1<SP>1</SP>, 1<SP>11</SP> so that said cylinders produce selsyn tappings corresponding to the stroke of their rams and differential selsyns 33<SP>1</SP>, 3311 associated with each cylinder having contacts 35<SP>1,</SP> 36<SP>1,</SP> 35<SP>11</SP>, 36<SP>11</SP> for controlling the solenoids 23, 24, 23<SP>1</SP>, 24<SP>1</SP>, 23<SP>11</SP>, 2411 associated with the three-way valves of the cylinders. |
