PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferromagnetic steel material having a non-magnetic part suitable for use as a magnetic material constituting a magnetic circuit part such as of a solenoid valve, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The non-magnetic part solute-riched with N is formed on at least a part of the ferromagnetic steel material containing, by mass percentage, C: 0.3% or less, Si: 0.04-3.0%, Mn: 0.1-2.2%, Cr: 10-26.5%, N: 0.02% or less, and Ni: 3.0% or less with the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein the maximum permeability of the non-magnetic part is one tenth or less of the maximum permeability of the ferromagnetic steel. |
