<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of a diagonal member which resists axial force by reducing the same while a column receives horizontal force at time of an earthquake. <P>SOLUTION: A building comprises: a first column and a second column arranged at an interval in a horizontal direction; an extended member which is internally extended from the first column in the horizontal direction with one edge section thereof fixed to the first column; a damper with the one edge section thereof fixed to the other edge section of the extended member; and a diagonal member with the one edge section thereof fixed to the damper and the other edge section attached to the second column. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
