1. A hybrid fastener, comprising:
a composite body that comprises a shank, a shoulder, and a tip; and a metal sleeve configured as a singular piece connected to the composite body via die mold formation, such that the metal sleeve covers an outer surface of the tip, one end of the metal sleeve aligns flush with an end of the tip, and another end of the metal sleeve engages the shoulder, such that a width of the tip varies along a length of the tip such that the width tapers from a second end of the composite body to the shoulder of the composite body. |
