Provided are a producing apparatus of a plate glass and a producing method, wherein the producing method can transfer a ribbon-shaped plate glass without error or damages of a lower surface. The producing apparatus of a plate glass according to the present invention comprises: a float bath in which a molten glass is molded into a flat plate shape; a slow cooling container in which the molten glass is gradually cooled; and a dross box which is placed between the float bath and the slow cooling container, and transfers the plate glass to the slow cooling container, wherein the slow cooling container comprises: at least two rollers; and a gas support device which is placed between the rollers, and supports the plate glass by pressurized gas. |
