The present invention provides a power factor improvement control apparatus of a rectifier circuit, which keeps stability for voltage resistance and current resistance of an SCR rectification manner and reduces harmonic current distortion to improve an input power factor. The power factor improvement control apparatus according to the present invention comprises a power factor control unit which is connected to a device having a nonlinear load characteristic, and removes current inputted to an SCR rectifier device having the non-linear load characteristic and a distorted current component generated by the SCR rectifier device having the non-linear load characteristic. Accordingly, the present invention has advantages of keeping the stability for voltage resistance and current resistance of the SCR rectification manner and actively reducing the harmonic current distortion to improve the input power factor. |
