PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an estimation about a battery remaining amount, which is arranged so as to factor in an external power-supply state.SOLUTION: A digital camera comprises: a battery; a battery-determination circuit for putting a pseudo load on the battery to determine whether or not the camera is allowed to work; a card slot part for removably inserting a removable medium; an interface part for accepting power supply from an external device; CPU for making communication with the removable medium. Before a camera action which needs a data access after initialization of the removable medium, the battery-determination circuit determines whether or not the camera is allowed to work while factoring in a state of power supply from the external device. |
