PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage not only allowing water components, carbohydrate, and salinity to be replenished for preventing heat stroke, but also being drinkable with a pleasant taste.SOLUTION: It was found that the sliminess, bitterness, bad aftertaste, and unsmoothness derived from sodium can be decreased by mixing with coconut water. It was also found that lauric acid, which is a fatty acid abundantly contained in coconut water, has an effect for decreasing the sliminess, bitterness, and the like derived from sodium. A lauric acid-containing beverage which suppresses the sliminess, bitterness, and the like derived from sodium in the beverage and is drinkable with a pleasant taste is provided. |
