PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for digital conversion of a signal at a higher speed, without causing any increase in the device size or the cost.SOLUTION: A receiver for use in an optical access network is constituted to include a local oscillation light source 80, a coherent reception unit 76 generating an electrical signal by causing interference of signal light and local oscillation light, and an AD conversion unit 73 performing analog-digital conversion of the electrical signal. The AD conversion unit includes a first ADC75-1 and a second ADC75-2 of different sampling rate in parallel, and an analog signal inputted to the AD conversion unit is branched into two, and subjected to analog-digital conversion by the first ADC and second ADC, respectively, before being added and outputted as a digital signal. |
