PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of sliding between a cylinder block and a cylinder head and between the cylinder head and a front cover, because the cylinder head thermally expanded more than the cylinder block.SOLUTION: A part provided with an exhaust port 6 of a cylinder head 2 is fixed to a cylinder block of a group of exhaust side head bolts 17. The cylinder head 2 is provided with a lower side cooling water jacket 18 and an upper side cooling jacket 19 separated into an upper side and a lower side across the exhaust port 6, and both are communicated by vertical direction cooling water jackets 26 and 27. The lower side cooling water jacket 18 is positioned on the outside in a fore-and-aft direction and the outside in a lateral direction of the group of the exhaust side head bolts 17. A part which is high temperature of the cylinder head 2 can be precisely cooled, so that sliding between the cylinder block 1 and the cylinder head 2, and sliding between the cylinder head 2 and a front cover 12 can be suppressed. |
