PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fuel battery assembling method and apparatus that can suppress deformation after fixing of a joint plate and end plates, and also suppress reduction of a compression load of a laminate.SOLUTION: A fuel battery assembling apparatus 1 has a joint plate 12 for joining a first end plate 10 and a second end plate 11, tension load applying means 13 fixed temporarily to the other end 12b of the joint plate 12 whose one end 12a is fixed to the first end plate 10 and pulls the joint plate 12 to apply a tension load, compression load apply means 14 for applying compression load on a laminate 60 of a cell of the fuel battery, and fixing means 15 for fixing the second end plate 11 and the other end 12b of the joint plate 12 to which the tension load is applied. The tension load applying means 13 applies the tension load to the joint plate 13 by using reaction force when the compression load is applied to the laminate 60 by the compression load applying means 14. |
