PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, image forming system, image forming method, image forming program, and recording medium with which information on document data can be easily managed.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an image forming apparatus including: management tag creation means for creating a management tag corresponding to first document data; composition means for creating second document data obtained by inserting the management tag into the first document data; printing means for printing the second document data; storage means for storing management information including the management tag; reading means for reading the management tag from the document printed by the printing means; means for painting out a printing portion of the document after the management tag has been read by the reading means; and determination means for determining whether or not the printing portion of the document has been painted out by collating the management information with the management tag read by the reading means.
