PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: a difference in process speed makes a timing different for detecting the presence or absence of an electrostatic latent image for correction, and the difference in the timing has become an error in detection of the amount of deviation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor; forming means for forming an electrostatic latent image for correction on the photoreceptor; detection means for detecting the electrostatic latent image for correction formed on the photoreceptor; and control means for controlling conditions for forming the electrostatic latent image during image formation on the basis a detection result detected by the detection means; and can perform image formation at a plurality of process speeds. The control means controls the cycle of the electrostatic latent image for correction according to the process speed in forming the electrostatic latent image for correction. |
