PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of burn-in on a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A burn-in prevention device 10 converts a gradation value equal to or greater than a first threshold value which is greater than a central gradation value among the gradation values of respective pixels of an input image into one value among gradation values equal to or smaller than the central gradation value, and converts a gradation value equal to or smaller than a second threshold value which is smaller than the central gradation value into one value among gradation values equal to or greater than the central gradation value. The burn-in prevention device 10 includes: a gradation reversal unit 12 for combining a gradation value smaller than the first threshold value and larger than the second threshold value with the gradation value after being converted and outputs it as a gradation reversal unit output image signal; and an image signal selection unit 14 for selecting one of the input image signal and the gradation reversal unit output image signal and outputting it. |
