PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical-marker position estimation method and apparatus capable of monitoring a position of an optical marker in an optical motion capture even when the optical marker is hidden from a camera.SOLUTION: The optical-marker position estimation method in an optical measurement including an optical motion capture having a plurality of cameras 3, and a sensor module having a nine-axial sensor 2 includes: providing the sensor module on the same body segment as that of the optical marker 1, where physical relationship of the optical marker 1 with respect to the sensor module is stored; and estimating coordinate values of the hidden optical marker 1 in a world coordinate system using the physical relationship, coordinate values of the sensor module in the world coordinate system, and a transformation matrix between a sensor module coordinate system calculated by using a rotation matrix obtained by the nine-axial sensor 2 of the sensor module, and the world coordinate system. |
