The channel resources of a wireless local area network are divided into a plurality of sub-resources on frequency domain. The access point comprises: a receiving unit for receiving resource state information sent by the station, wherein the resource state information indicates the free/busy state of the station on each sub-resource; and an allocating unit for allocating, o the basis of the resource state information, the sub-resources for data transmission between the access point and the station. In the embodiment of the present invention, the station sends the resource state information to the access point and the access point is notified of the free/busy state of the station on the sub-resources, and in this way the access point can allocate appropriate resources for data transmission according to the free/busy state of the station on the sub-resources, making it possible to reduce the likelihood of data transmission conflict.
