PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel prodrug of an activated vitamin Dcompound.SOLUTION: There is provided a prodrug represented by the following formula; the prodrug can be designed as having one or more beneficial characteristics such as selective inhibition of the enzyme CYP24, hypocalcemia activity, and anti-proliferative activity; specifically, 1-deoxy prohormone active vitamin D analogue, for example, calcitriol analogue prodrug. Also there are provided a pharmaceutical or diagnostic composition containing the prodrug as well as the pharmaceutical use thereof as prodrug in the treatment and/or prevention of diseases. (R1 is OH, OC1-6 alkyl, or halogen; and R2 and R3 are each independently H, halogen, or the like.). |
