In addition, a switch-over probability (15) is generated, and the battery cells (2) with the at least one generated switch-over probability (15) change the respective switching state. The present invention further relates to a battery system (1) designed for carrying out the method according to the invention, comprising a plurality of electrically connected battery cells (2), a plurality of drive circuits (10), and a control unit (16), wherein in each case, the battery cells (2) can be switched into the battery system (1), or can be electrically bridged, by means of the drive circuits (10).
