<p>A system for producing cheese is provided. The system comprises a curd handling apparatus (1008) arranged for filling curd and whey mixture in a mould, a first mould handling apparatus arranged for placing said mould filled with curd and whey mixture in a casing and for closing said casing, a second mould handling apparatus arranged for opening said casing, and a cheese handling apparatus (1016) arranged for releasing said cheese from said mould. The curd handling apparatus, the first mould handling apparatus, the second mould handling apparatus and/or the cheese handling apparatus are placed in a first area (1002) and said storage area is placed in a second area (1004). The first area is provided with a system providing for that a level of contaminants is kept below a pre-set level of contaminants, thereby reducing a risk that food products handled in said first area are contaminated.</p> |
