PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method using a client-local proxy server to access a device having an assigned network address.SOLUTION: In response to receiving a request from a web client to access a mobile computing device, the client-local proxy server acts as an intermediary opening up a communications path between the web client and an assigned address of the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device repeatedly registers the current version of its address with the client-local proxy server. The mobile computing device and proxy-server software require only targeted configuration changes to perform intermediary routing operations. |
