A lock-up-clutch control device equipped with a lock-up clutch (20) mounted to a torque converter (2) provided between an automatic transmission (4) and a motor (1) serving as the vehicle drive source, further equipped with an engagement control means (8H) for controlling so as to increase the engagement capacity of the lock-up clutch (20) as time passes, when performing an engagement control for switching the torque converter (20) from a converter state to a lock-up state, and also having an auxiliary engine (110) driven by the motor (1), wherein in the case that the input torque to be inputted into the torque converter (2) from the motor (1) increases due to a decrease in the auxiliary engine (110) load when performing the control for increasing the engagement capacity of the lock-up clutch (20), then the engagement control means (8H) accelerates the increase of the engagement capacity of the lock-up clutch (20) on the basis of the increased torque amount. Consequently, this lock-up clutch control device is capable of definitively avoiding pressure-increase insufficiency events which arise when transitioning to the lock-up state. |
