<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distortion amount display method or the like with which a displacement amount of a measurement target can be displayed easily and inexpensively. <P>SOLUTION: According to a distortion amount display method, a pair of substrates 11 and 12 have pattern areas 11a and 12a in which patterns 11b and 12b are formed, the pattern areas 11a and 12a are fixed to a measurement target while keeping a predetermined interval so as to be overlapped, and the amount of distortion loaded to the measurement target is displayed by moire stripes 5 generated by interference of the patterns 11b and 12b.
