PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent discharge performance even while a flame retardant electrolyte is used.SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, lithium iron phosphate is used as a positive electrode active material, and a nonaqueous electrolyte is used. The nonaqueous electrolyte contains: 15-30 mass% of a fluorinated phosphoric acid ester with a side chain having a carbon number of 3 or less and/or a fluorinated chain carbonate relative to the total solvent, as a flame retardant solvent (fluorinated solvent); and a cyclic carbonate as a solvent other than the fluorinated solvent. |
