<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable gain amplifier having a gain variable by a control signal which implements a lower voltage and lower power operation than existing amplifiers, has a continuously variable gain, and stably ensures a constant output even upon input fluctuations. <P>SOLUTION: The variable gain amplifier includes: an input MOS transistor grounded at a source and biased to a saturation state to input a signal; a load resistance having one end connected to a power supply; and a control element connected between the input MOS transistor and the load resistance to control a current flowing through the load resistance by means of a control signal, so that an amplification circuit gain is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
