The present invention relates to a shirt press which facilitates ironing various types of shirts such as a dress shirt, a casual shirt, and the like, and improves the quality of ironing. In particular, for instance, the shirt press enables a user to iron gauntlets in the best condition. The present invention also relates to a method for controlling the shirt press. The shirt press comprises: a fixing frame; a model which is installed in the fixing frame, and on which a shirt is hung; a front iron capable of moving toward the model to iron the front side of the shirt hung on the model; a rear iron capable of moving toward the model to iron the rear side of the shirt hung on the model; a sleeve holding device which holds a sleeve of the shirt hung on the model to stretch the same; and a blower which supplies high temperature air inside the shirt hung on the model. The sleeve holding device includes: a sleeve frame which is hinged to the fixing frame and rotated by a sleeve stretching actuator; a sleeve holder which is installed in the sleeve frame, and formed in a shape bent toward the gauntlet to support a cuff, wrinkles around the cuff, and the gauntlet of the sleeve by being inserted into the sleeve of the shirt; and a sleeve iron capable of moving toward the sleeve to iron the cuff and wrinkles around the cuff of the shirt, and the gauntlet of the sleeve. |
