PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing change device capable of suppressing the occurrence of malfunction of a lock mechanism.SOLUTION: It is assumed that two lines connecting axial centers of lock pins 51 to a rotation center of a vane rotor 26 are "L1", two lines orthogonal to the lines L1 and passing through the axial centers of the lock pins 51 are "L2", and a line connecting an intersection point between the lines L2 to the rotation center of the vane rotor 26 is "L3". An advance restriction member 61 and a lag restriction member 62 are disposed in such a manner that a direction of a reaction force F1 acting on a vane in a direction of the line L3 when the vane 27 abuts on the advance restriction member 61 is identical to a direction of a reaction force F2 acting on a vane 27 in the direction of the line L3 when the vane 27 abuts on the lag restriction member 62. The vane rotor 26 is attached to a camshaft 11 in a state in which lock pins 51 are eccentric to be proximate to a rotation center C2 of the camshaft 11. |
