PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a center core for cardboard capable of manufacturing the center core for cardboard having sufficient compressive strength and excellent in lamination property with a liner although the center core is light with a low basis weight.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a center core for cardboard having an application process for applying a coating liquid mainly containing a paper durability promoter to at least one face of base paper for the center core obtained by paper making a raw material pulp, where the paper durability promoter mainly contains linear type polyacrylamide, a temperature of the coating liquid in the application process is 50 to 80°C inclusive, and viscosity is 4 to 25 mPa s inclusive. The solid content concentration of the coating liquid is preferably 5 to 25 mass% inclusive. The linear type polyacrylamide is preferably anionic. |
