PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow reaction liquid to adhere to a desired region on an intermediate transfer body by simple control.SOLUTION: The image forming device as one embodiment of the invention comprises: recording heads (101a-101d) that discharge recording liquid to an intermediate transfer body (100) and form an image on the intermediate transfer body (100) with the recording liquid; transferring means (112) that transfers and adheres reaction liquid, which reacts to the recording liquid, to the intermediate transfer body (100); adhering means (111) that adheres the reaction liquid to the transferring means (112); and control means that switches between contact to and separation from the transferring means (112) and the adhering means (111), and controls an adhered region of the reaction liquid to be adhered from the adhering means (111) to the transferring means (112). |
