PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a vertical crusher and the vertical crusher which reduces vibration in accordance with conditions changed every moment and is suitable for efficiently pulverizing raw material.SOLUTION: A vertical crusher 1 includes a gap dimension adjusting device 12 which comes into contact with a swing lever 10A having a deaeration roller 5 attached thereto, limits the movement of a deaeration roller to the side of a rotation table 2 and, thereby, adjusts a dimension of a gap between the deaeration roller and the rotation table. Therein, a length of the gap dimension adjusting device is expanded and contracted during the operation of the vertical crusher, thereby, the dimension of the gap between the deaeration roller and the rotation table can be controlled so as to get to a desired value when the raw material is compacted with the deaeration roller, therefore, the dimension of the gap between the deaeration roller and the rotation table can be adjusted in accordance with the thickness of the raw material layer, the raw material layer can be efficiently deaerated and raw material can be crushed. |
