According to the present invention, a seed selection system for providing data for users through a network includes: a data collection unit which collects multiple pieces of collection result data corresponding to a first selection seed; a candidate seed extraction unit which extracts candidate seeds for the pieces of the collection result data; a seed analysis unit which generates at least one type of seed information regarding the respective candidate seeds including popularity information indicating the degree of user reaction to the candidate seeds, influence information indicating the extraction frequency of each keyword included in the candidate seeds, and spread force information indicating the exposure of the candidate seeds to the users; a seed selection unit which calculates a selection score for the respective candidate seeds based on the seed information and selects one of the candidate seeds as a second selection seed based on the selection score; a seed selection control unit which controls the selection operation of the seed selection unit; and a selection seed storage unit which stores the first selection seed and the selected second selection seed. |
