Provided are a detector which detects a light beam which is generated from the light source of a second image forming device and is reflected by a polygonal mirror, and a control device which performs a control process of controlling the speed of the polygonal mirror based on the output of the detector. The control device performs a control process while emitting a light beam from the light source of the second image forming device during a period which includes a period of emitting the light beam to the photoresist member of the second image forming device, before an image forming process is performed on the first image forming device. The first image forming device is shifted to the developing position of a developing member, before the control process is finished. |
