The present invention relates to a proximity illuminance sensor (IR) and a mobile terminal using the same. The mobile terminal uses: the proximity illuminance sensor disposed on the rear of a front case and disposed vertical to the display unit; and a light reflector disposed on one side of the proximity illuminance sensor and allowing the proximity illuminance sensor to receive light or to emit the light to the outside, thereby reducing a size of an upper end bezel. The light reflector includes a reflecting surface reflecting the light, and the reflecting surface is disposed such that the light is not radiated to a region in which the light overlaps the display unit. |
