Disclosed are a user authentication method, a digital system, a trading medium of an authentication system, an authentication medium, and a financial trade system. The user authentication method according to a technical idea of the present invention comprises: a step in which the digital system transmits client authentication information for authentication of the digital system or an application installed in the digital system to the authentication system performing the authentication; a step in which the digital system receives activation information capable of activating at least partially a protection module of the application in the authentication system if the client authentication information is authenticated by the authentication system; a step in which the digital system activates a deactivated protection module based on the activation information which is received by the digital system; and a step in which the digital system produces a confirmation signal including the authentication information to authenticate an authentication request through the activated protection module and transmits the produced confirmation signal to the authentication system. An authentication confirmation procedure wherein the authentication information included in the transmitted confirmation signal is authenticated is executed by the authentication system. If the authentication confirmation procedure does not succeed, the authentication request outputted to the authentication system or a service system connected with the authentication system from a predetermined data processing device or the digital system cannot be successfully processed.
