The present invention relates to an apparatus to control a retrieval of a chain of a sounding weight to measure a charging material of an interior of a blast furnace. The apparatus to control the retrieval of a chain of a sounding weight comprises: a winding unit; a driving motor unit; and a control part. The winding unit allows the chain of the sounding weight to be charged into and discharged from the interior of the blast furnace. The driving motor unit is provided to the winding unit, and supplies torque allowing the winding unit to charge and discharge the sounding weight. The control part controls the driving motor unit. A constricted chain is automatically detected without a visual check by a worker such that work efficiency is increased, thereby improving productivity and preventing an accident.
