According to the present invention, a washing machine comprises: a washing tub connected by an outer rotor and an outer shaft; a pulsator connected by an inner rotor and an inner shaft; and a planetary gear device installed between the inner rotor and the pulsator and between the outer rotor and the washing tub to reduce the rotation speed. A rotational force of the inner rotor is transmitted to the washing tub by the planetary gear device to reduce starting current when a load is applied to the pulsator when the inner rotor is initially operated and reduce end current when the inner rotor is stopped to reduce power consumption.
