The present invention relates to a converting method for 4WD, which comprises: a first step for checking the conversion standard from 2WD to 4WD; a second step for determining if the rear wheel average speed exceeds a certain speed when checking the conversion into a 4WD at the first step; a third step for reserving a coupling and operating when the rear wheel average speed exceeds the certain speed in the second step; a fourth step for determining if the difference between the RPM of a front wheel transfer and the RPM of a propeller shaft is lower than a certain RPM when reserving the coupling and operating in the third step; a fifth step for combining with the front wheel transfer when the difference between the RPM of the front wheel transfer and the RPM of the propeller shaft is lower than the certain RPM in the fourth step; and a sixth step for converting into a 4WD when combining with the front wheel transfer in the fifth step. The present invention can combine with the front wheel transfer immediately after the rear wheels are determined to be stopped when the vehicle is stopped and started with a low friction while the vehicle is driving, allows conversion into 4WD before a slip occurs at the front wheels, allows immediate conversion from 2WD to 4WD, and can improve marketability and driving convenience. |
