The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for selecting a profile of a terminal. Specifically, the present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for selecting a profile in order to provide a communications service of the terminal having an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) (or an embedded subscriber identity module; eSIM) and a universal integrated circuit card (UICC). According to the present invention, the method for selecting a profile of a terminal including a plurality of subscriber identifying modules, which are different from each other, comprises the following steps: selecting any one among the subscriber identifying modules in accordance with a preset rule when a profile change event is detected; selecting any one among a plurality of profiles stored in the subscriber identifying modules; and applying the selected profile to the terminal.
