PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the overall failure occurrence rate of a display device.SOLUTION: A multiscreen display system 1000 comprises: four displays constituting multiscreen; five display units 201 to 205 displaying an image on the multiscreen; a host system 100; and a switcher 400. The host system 100 makes the four display units selected as active display unit correspond to display devices 501 to 504, respectively, supplies data for displaying the image on the corresponding displays to the active display units, selects one remaining display unit as a standby display unit, stops the selected standby display unit, and replaces any of the active display units with the standby display unit. The switcher 400 connects the displays to the corresponding active display units on one-to-one correspondence, and switches over the connection between the displays and the active display units in response to a control of the host system 100. |
